The National Office of the Association has not conducted an operational review for more than 12 years and it was thought prudent to have the CEO undertake that process to ensure the membership was being provided with the best possible service in an economical and efficient manner.

The proposal for the office review was supported by the National Executive in March 2019.

New position descriptions for all roles were developed, reflecting changes in workload, responsibilities and new technology. Changes were also made to reflect more contemporary performance-based agreements and a new position of Media and Communications Officer has also been created.

Following legal advice on proper process and the development of new agreements, all staff were offered Position Descriptions for their consideration.

As a result three team members have indicated they intend to accept the new roles.

We are confident the review will revitalise the office and offer members a better experience, as well as providing the Association with a more agile team which is reflective of the changing needs of the Association.
